Atsushi Izumi also known as 'Anode' for decades in fierce and forward thinking drum and bass. Now he releases the Snow EP on subtrakt, a more introverted and dangerous aspect of this artists sound.

Intimidating emptiness leaves room for implosive fiery kicks and bass bursts clears the room from air, only to fill it up with distorted fire and hordes of screaming machines. In the outmost positions of the stereo spectre you hear a hint of soothing pads and a mellow level of kindness that rinses the badly bruised listener. Izumi puts dark tales on display, shows of horror and yet a warm sense of hope shines through these clouds of japanese steel and guides any ear to the end of the EP with a sense of happiness and repentance, struck with a layer of huanity rarely encountered on the face of the electronic music and rarely taken in as experience after such an intense listening event.

When this demo arrived at Subtrakt HQ there was absolutely no doubt we were dealing with a very profound level of genious and we are honored to release this masterpiece on Subtrakt. In the package you will also find an Interpretation from monolog of the track Dysprosium.
